Personally I feel BOPF is a little advanced topic and requires one to have some knowledge of ABAP and Object Oriented Programming before delving into this topic. But like always, the eternal question is – From where to start. Certainly you get many amazing blog posts in SCN which can help you to get started or you can start with the official help documentation. However I often felt a little distracted by other information, links (of course they are important in the corresponding context) while reading from such sources. A systematic approach is always helpful while trying to learn something new.This book is actually an ‘E-Bite’ which is taken from the book ‘Object-Oriented Programming with ABAP Objects’. It focuses exclusively on the BOPF concepts without interference of any other topics. It touches the all the major concepts of BOPF in a nice and pragmatic manner. I found the order of topics discussed in the book are very logical and helps the reader to draw the big picture in an installment based approach.
BOPF is a very big topic and definitely demands an independent book on its own. Such a need does not defy the necessity of this E-bite. It is quite compact in its nature and delivers a well described succinct list of topics which is good enough for one to understand and getting started with BOPF.
